ACUPUNCTURE

ACUPUNCTURE EFFICACY AND INDICATIONS
Acupuncture has been continuously and widely used as a primary medical modality for over 2,500 years in the most populous civilization on earth (China and its sphere of East Asian cultural influence). As such, acupuncture has both broad and deep clinical experience. Ancient and modern acupuncture texts and collective clinical experience include differential diagnosis and treatment protocols for the full spectrum of illnesses and injuries known to human kind.

In 1997 the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) issued a consensus report that concluded "The data in support of acupuncture are as strong as those for many accepted Western Medical therapies. There is sufficient evidence of acupuncture's value to expand its use into conventional medicine and to encourage further studies of its physiology and clinical value" (NIH 1997).

The World Health Organization also issued a report in 1996 on the efficacy of acupuncture, based on review of an extensive database of clinical trials. The conditions listed below are organized by the degree of evidence of acupuncture efficacy identified in the WHO report. Conditions which are listed in the NIH Consensus Panel's report are also included, and indicated thus: (NIH).

BIOGRAPHY
Juanita is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Wisconsin operating a practice as Ancient Healing Acupuncture and Herbs LLC. She graduated from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine with a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. She has had extensive training in all areas of Chinese Medicine, having over 900 hours of clinic time treating over 400 patients with multiple symptom presentations. In addition to her extensive training in Oriental Medicine, she has studied how energy moves in the body and has over 10 years experience using Crystals and Reiki. She believes that all pain and illness come from energy that is blocked somewhere in the body. Acupuncture, which includes cupping, Tui Na, Quasha, and acupressure along with Herbs, Crystals and Reiki can be used individually or combined to help energy move freely in the body. The benefit to you is that even if you have a fear of needles, she can help with the pain and illness that is associated with energy blocks by using Reiki or Crystals.
