TRI-RELEASE THERAPY

Tri-Release Therapy is a myofacial therapy (manipulation of soft tissue) done in conjunction with the cranial rhythm.

This is a gentle hands-on therapy that frees up the cranium comfortably, effectively releasing pain and discomfort. This therapy releases all fascia, tendons and ligaments that hold blocks any resistance. Pain is responsive to Tri-Release Therapy because the gentle technique actually allows the muscle or jointed area to return to its natural position without force or irritation. Instead of force, each of the patterns is held steadily, but gently, at their barriers until such time as the body is willing to allow release to occur. With Tri-Release Therapy, each of the patterns, in spite of their often exaggerated proportions, are addressed in a specific routine. The technique is always the same, although the site or application areas of need may differ. The number of sessions needed by a client depends entirely on types of restrictions and length of time since the original trauma occurred.

CONDITIONS AT BIRTH
A short pre-requisite understanding of the conditions with which we are born is necessary to fully appreciate the benefit of Tri-Release Therapy. Upon fertilization, all programs a human being is going to have are present RNA, DNA, skin color, texture of hair, shape of nose, eye color, body temperature, TMJ dysfunction, scoliosis, one short leg and one long leg, etc. Unless other conditions are present to disturb development and growth, the fetus is born "normal."

WHAT IS NORMAL?
"Normal" can mean ten toes, ten fingers family resemblances, etc. "Normal" can also mean structural patterns that result in misalignment of the physical body. This last "normal" comes from the perspective of the Cranialsacral system. The Cranialsacral system includes the cranium (8 cranial bones, 14 facial bones), the neutral tube along the spine, and the sacrum (located at the base of the spine). From this perspective "normal" includes a twist in the body causing every joint, muscle, and ligament to respond with results that include scoliosis and a tipped occiput (back of the head), resulting in a tilted sacrum. Ankles, knees, ribs, shoulders, neck, individual muscle groups and muscle strands all have the same pattern of twist (rotation). These "normal" patterns mean that the human enters the world with the body being held in a pattern that is restrictive and progressively pain producing from birth. These distortions are already present at birth because the cranial bones arc the first bones to form and as they form they come together distorted, causing misalignment throughout the entire body. Added to the "already-in-place" structural misalignments are the everyday traumas experienced in daily life as we age.
